A collection of over 100 objects composed of exotic shells from around the world inspired by Sailors' Valentines and Shell Art of the 18th and 19th centuries. The collection is housed in restored Victorian longshore fishermen's sheds.
Free entry with voluntary contributions
Beginning of May to the end of September, daily, 12.00 noon to 4.00pm. Please note that the gallery is run entirely by volunteers and exceptionally if volunteers are not available the gallery may be closed. Also open during the school Easter and Autumn half-term holidays, weather permitting.

ACCESSIBILITY FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS
The shell gallery is fully accessible on the flat. Users of large powered wheelchairs may not be able to negotiate the spaces between display cases, however.
How to Find Us
Sheringham is easily accessible by train or bus, and there is car parking close to the museum on Morris Street. The museum is on the sea front close to the town centre.
