About Us

Suffolk Underwater Studies is an active privately funded unit covering erosion, deposition and wreck and archaeology discoveries of the Suffolk coastline and offshore. It has been operating for 36 years and has extensive records. The small museum is a permanent showcase of the work undertaken, and exhibits some recovered ships timbers.

Other Information

Museum is above shop, up fairly steep and narrow stairs without risers. Seating is provided.

How to Find Us

The museum is located above the craft and basket shop on the left hand side of the approach to Orford village centre. Car parking is available nearby.

Put more meaningful or descriptive labels on the photo's please. Thank you for describing the limited access. It saved us a wasted trip with the baby buggy.
