About Us
HMS Ganges Museum has a collection of personal effects, uniforms, photographs, equipment, and mementoes connected with the vessel and shore based naval training establishment HMS Ganges. We have a full set of the Shotley Magazine and oral history recordings of the memories of those who passed through. The famous training mast is still sited at Shotley Marina.

How to Find Us
By RoadApproaching Ipswich on the A14 exit on to the A137 (advance sign - Ipswich Central: slip road sign - Ipswich Docks, Wherstead and Shotley) towards Ipswich. At first junction (a roundabout) turn right on to the B1456 for Shotley. After passing under the Orwell Road Bridge continue through the villages of Woolverstone, Chelmondiston, Shotley and continue to Shotley Gate. The B1456 ends at the bottom of Bristol Hill (by the Bristol Arms Public House). Turn left and follow the private road along the sea wall to the Marina.
The Ganges Museum is the first building at the Marina, facing towards you as you drive into the Marina complex.
The museum is also accessible via the foot ferry from Felixstowe or Harwich
