Mr Frank Cook
My father was a Brightlingsea man. He was born in Sydney St in 1893. His father was James Cook and his mother Harriet or Henrietta. The family were all mariners, at least 2 also worked as ferrymen from the hard to St Osyth. Their names were Ernest, Jim and Len. My father joined up and was in the Royal Engineers during the 1914-18 war and then went to live in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. where he died at the age of 79. If anyone knows of the Cook family and their history, I would be delighted to hear from them. My email address is vernon.cook@btinternet.com
