Itself in a commanding postion overlooking the Thames estuary, the Beecorft Art Gallery houses many fine paintings of shipping on the estuary and elsewhere, as well as a wonderful pictorial record of the town of Southend on Sea as a premier seaside destination.
As well as hosting temporary exhibitions of contemporary art a selection from the permanant collection is always on show

Ramp access to ground floor only. Nearest disabled toilet facilities across the road at the Cliffs Pavilion Theatre.
How to Find Us
By Car: The gallery is in Station Road, Westcliff, just oppoiste the Cliffs Pavilion theatre. Driving along the A13 (London Road), turn towards the sea at the Cricketers' pub. Over the railway bridge, round the next block of houses on a one way system and you're there. Parking is mainly on-street (free) but there is also a large pay and display car aprlk in Shorefields Road
By Rail: The nearest station is Westcliff on Sea on the Fenhcurch Line from London. The gallery quarter of a mile to the east.
