A complex Shere knot made as a perfect grommet
Steel Wire rope 180mm dia. made by Harold Scott of Brixworth Northants. Wire rope is constructed of 6 strand and a core. This is a S.4.C. sphere knot laid up with a single strand of 98ft long making a perfect grommet[ i.e. a piece of wire of 7 strands from one strand ], there is also small example of a perfect grommet and part made grommet inside for explanation .
