Walter 'Primo' Allen
Walter 'Primo' Allen wearing his gansey.
Walter 'Primo' Allen is pictured here at the wheel of a local fishing boat, wearing the traditional fisherman's wear of a gansey. He was drowned during the rescue of the "English Trader" in 1941. Richard Davies, a former Cromer lifeboat coxswain said in a talk he gave on 19.12.2001 that 'Primo' was an excellent navigator.
