W Hammond's RNLI Certificate
A token of great regard for 45 years service as a member of the crew of Walton-on-the-Naze's lifeboat and the last ten being as coxswain; signed by all crew members and branch committee. William Hammond served on James Stevens No. 14 and was coxswain at the time of the S.S. Peregrine rescue in December 1917.
