Stannard Room Dedication

Stannard Room Dedication

Captain Richard Stannard VC, the only member of the Royal Naval Patrol Service to receive the award, died in Australia in 1977. As a memorial the main exhibition space at the RNPS Museum was named the Stannard Room.

Present at the dedication of the Stannard Memorial Room at the RNPS Museum, Lowestoft, on August 9th, 1979, were his daughters Mrs. Jean Horstead (left) and Mrs. Diane Bruty, with Rear Admiral G. B. Williams, Flag Officer Medway, Port Admiral Chatham
