Mrs
I sailed on the SS Strathmore from Australia to England when I was a child. I remember being impressed by the size and the grandure of the ship and that the stewards were kind and generous to me. I enjoyed my journey which took approximately 7 weeks (there was some sort of hold up before we could go through the Suez. It was a wonderful experience.

I have found a shipping trunk that was used by an "A Napier" which has P & o stickers on the side S.S Strathmore.

My Uncle Michael
I am trying to find a Death Certificate for my late Uncle Michael Martin Trant, who travelled on the S.S. Strathmore, which left London on 10th May 1950 and he disembarked in Adelaide on the 9th June 1950. I have tried all the usual sources, but to no avail. I would love to hear from anyone who may know someone who took this same voyage. I can be contacted via email: trantmm@hotmail.com
