Sennit Rope mat from Robin Hoods Bay Yorkshire

 

  820mm x650 made circa 1946 by John Tindale (1885-1957) of Robin Hoods Bay, Yorkshire . This mat was made from old rope yarns that have been plated together, the centre part then knitted together whilst the border has been sewn round .
