Sailmaker’s seam rubber 1989.2.1
Made from wood,Beautifully carved with manrope knot Rope and Turks head160mm overall. This tool would be used by the sailmaker to flattern the seams of the sail after they had been sewn.. These tools are often highly decorative , almost a badge of office.

This seam rubber was stolen on the 11th of October whilst on display in CuxhavenGermany. Should any one see it please get in touch.
