I am currently researching my family tree and I have discovered that my Great Great Grandfather is the George Alexander Wright that you refer to re "Pride of Ipswich" that drowned on the River Orwell - he was actually born 27/1/1856 and drowned 21/2/1916. Funny really because our family even to this very day have small pleasure crafts moored just up the River at Stoke Sail Club, Freston. Anne Robinson (Great Great Grand Daughter of George A Wright
