James Beeching

Self Righting Lifeboat.

My Great,great, great Grandfather was James Beeching who invented the Self Righting Lifeboat. I have the medal and scroll that was presented to him at Th Great Exhibition in 1851 by Victoria and Albert.

as a child my parents knew a family named Beeching he was a retired sea captain, i think they came from Dovercort he was a wonderful man I would have been about 6 years old I am now 72 geoffrey.pattinson@btopenworld.com
