Britannia overlooks Nelson's triumphant return to England after the Battle of Aboukir Bay (Nile). She looks down on Turnpike Road (now Southtown Road), following his route from landing on Gorleston Beach to being given the Freedom of the Borough at the Wrestlers' Inn, Great Yarmouth on 6th November 1800.
