Ditty Bag

The sailor would carry his own tols and small items in a bag such as this. The bag may well have been made from a piece of old canvas "won " from the sailmaker , the ropework handle would be a demonstration of his skils

the simple elegance of this work is breathtaking.I have seen & appreciated knots for years but the craft put into a simple Ditty Bag leaves me in awe of the workmanship.
