Hi Val I'm trying to get a bit more information about the Tansley family relating to a couple of photos we have in our collection here - which were taken by HH Tansley (is this Harry?) in Sheringham of other family members. Would you be able to contact me? I work in the main RNLI Headquarters in Poole - 0845 122 6999. ThanksEleanor Driscoll Poole
Harry Hodges Tansley
H H Tansley is a distant relative of mine. His Grandfather Isaiah and my Greatgrandfather James were brothers. Harry was born in 1883 and died in 1961. He was a very well known photographer in Cromer and Sheringham and had photographic studios in both towns. The Cromer museum has an extensive collection of his wartime photographs. He mainly took photographs of social history events which included the local lifeboats being launched or going to maritime events. I have a small photocopy of a photograph which was in a newspaper article. My email address is Stansleyhawes@aol.com if I can help further.Susan Hawes (nee Tansley) Bourne, Lincolnshire
